About Mushroom Days 2026

The mushroom industry changes. Dutch Mushroom Days 2026, held on April 22–24, was a large-scale event that brought exhibitors and visitors together. Large booths, structured networking, strong evening event. The organisers have done a huge job. This event confirms the industry shift.

“This year fewer people came as visitors, however those who came are serious, with solid inquiries,” told us Ron Hegger from Dutch Mushroom Projects BV.

First reason is enlargement of mushroom farms. Years ago many owners and managers of middle-sized mushroom farms attended Champignondagen Mushroom Days. Now larger growing areas are managed by fewer decision-makers. One or two people represent the farm at a mushroom exhibition.

Second reason is digitalisation of the mushroom industry. Suppliers use their own channels and mushroom industry media such as China Mushroom Days, as China partners to distribute updates instantly.
