Once only available by foraging in the summer rainforests of Xishuangbanna, Boletus edulis (black porcini) can now be supplied stably year-round. After over a decade of dedicated research, Hongzhen Group has successfully overcome the worldwide challenge of artificial domestication and industrialized cultivation of Boletus edulis. The company has established the world's leading intelligent production base, capable of producing nearly 40 tons of high-quality fresh mushrooms daily. This achievement marks a significant leap for China's rare edible fungi industry, transitioning from "wild dependence" to "independent mass production."

Renowned for its delicious taste and nutritional richness, Boletus edulis had long been labeled as "difficult to cultivate artificially" due to its demanding growth conditions. Since 2013, Hongzhen formed a research team led by Researcher Ji Kaiping, focusing on continuous optimization of core processes such as strain selection and liquid spawn cultivation. This effort has resulted in a stable production system supported by multiple national patents.

At production bases in Xishuangbanna and Zhenfeng, Guizhou, tens of thousands of cultivation bottles move along automated production lines. An intelligent system precisely controls temperature, light, humidity, air, and the growth substrate, enabling a standard Boletus edulis mushroom to mature in just 45 days with a fruiting body formation rate exceeding 97%. This completely breaks the limitation of relying on natural conditions, achieving "year-round mushroom production."

Centered around the "Niu Furen" brand, Hongzhen has built a fully integrated industrial chain. Its products are supplied not only to high-end domestic supermarkets but are also exported overseas. In production, agricultural waste such as rubber wood sawdust and bagasse serves as the main substrate material. After harvesting, the spent substrate is processed into organic fertilizer and returned to the fields, forming a green circular chain.

This model not only ensures a secure supply of high-end edible mushrooms but also injects vitality into rural revitalization. Currently, Hongzhen is preparing for the International Boletus Edulis Technological Innovation Conference 2025, planning to release an industry white paper and launch the "Global Table Plan." From a rare delicacy in deep mountains to a global ingredient, Hongzhen, with technological innovation as its pen, is writing a "Chinese approach" for the high-quality development of the world's edible fungi industry.
