The conference is dedicated to establishing a high-standard, landmark international exchange platform for China's edible fungi industry. It attracted over 300 participants, including officials from relevant government departments, academicians from both the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, representatives from domestic and international universities, research institutions, and enterprises, as well as industry guests from nearly 10 major consumer countries and regions worldwide. Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions and experience-sharing on key topics spanning the entire industrial chain, such as variety breeding, smart factory solutions, deep processing, culinary applications, and market expansion. Together, they explored new pathways for industrial innovation and global collaborative development.
During the conference, Li Yu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a professor at Jilin Agricultural University, stated that the edible fungi industry is a prime example of "small mushrooms, big industry, benefiting people's livelihoods." As a distinctive variety within this sector, Boletus edulis holds significant importance in boosting rural revitalization, ensuring food safety, and promoting the Healthy China initiative.
Qian Keming, Deputy Director of the Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, noted that the global food industry is currently trending toward healthier, functional, and international development, presenting rare opportunities for the Boletus edulis industry.
The conference officially launched the "Boletus Edulis Global Table Plan" and presented certificates to various representatives as "Boletus Edulis Global Promotion Ambassadors." These ambassadors will undertake the mission of promoting the health value of Boletus edulis and Chinese fungal culture, connecting global resources, and supporting the export of industry standards and expansion into overseas markets.
Additionally, the conference released three brand rankings, witnessed the signing of key cooperation projects, and featured keynote speeches delivered by multiple experts and scholars.
